Community Notice: Turnaround and Increased Flaring over next few days
Dear Community Members,
As we recently informed you, there has been some flaring activity as we bring units at the refinery back online. This is a normal part of the process after a Turnaround.
Please be aware that we are expecting heavier than usual flaring and noise from this weekend when we bring one of our main operational units back online. This increased activity is expected to continue for several days.
Flaring involves the controlled burning of gases at the flare structure, which helps ensure safety and efficiency. More information about flaring can be found on our website by clicking here. Although flaring can be noisy, we are doing our best to keep it to a minimum.
Rest assured, this procedure is managed with the utmost safety and strict control.
